Vishwasthali is a social and cultural organization registered under  Registration No.2922-S, with the Registrar of Societies of J & K Govt., under Societies Registration Act VI of 1998 (1941).

Objectives of the organization are:

• Social and cultural awakening of the society in the background of ideas and ideals of Swami Vivekanand.
• Protection, promotion and propagation of the world famous Basohli Miniature Art' and craft.
• Inspired with this sloka of Ramayana,
  members of the organization are striving for the overall development of the area. Social and cultural awakening programs are organized with the aim to establish Basohli on the world map as Vishwasthali.
